I’m really not sure about the terms “household name” or “name recognition.” It seems to me that the only thing that makes someone famous is if they have lots of fans who are interested in them and their work enough to talk about it with other people and spread the word by word of mouth or via the internet and social media etc.
And I don’t think that has anything to do with how many people you know in the industry.
I mean I know dozens of people in my local comic book industry scene but I doubt most of them would know who I am even if they saw me on the street.
I mean if you’re talking about someone like Stan Lee or Jack Kirby then yeah they were household names but that was because their work was so popular and people loved it.
So in that case yes their name recognition had something to do with how many people they knew in the industry but also how many fans they had too.
But if you’re talking about someone who is just known by other creators but not by fans then I don’t see how that counts as name recognition or being a household name.
I mean if you’re just known by other creators then that doesn’t really mean much does it?
I mean if I’m just known by other creators then what does that say about my name recognition?
It says nothing does it?
It means nothing does it?
I mean if you’re just known by other creators then you’re not really famous are you?
You’re just another creator are you not?
So why would anyone care about your name recognition if they don’t even know who you are?
I mean if you’re just known by other creators then what’s the point of having name recognition?
What’s the point of being famous if no one outside of your industry knows who you are?
I mean what’s the point?
So I guess what I’m trying to say is that I don’t think that name recognition has anything to do with how many people you know in the industry.
I think it has more to do with how many fans you have and how well known your work is.
And I think that’s a much better way to measure someone’s fame than just counting how many people they know in the industry.
Because at the end of the day it’s not about how many people you know in the industry.
It’s about how many fans you have and how well known your work is.
And that’s what makes someone famous.
Not how many people they know in the industry.
So there you have it.
My two cents on this topic.
Let me know what you guys think!
I’ve always been curious about this topic because I’ve heard so many different opinions on it and I wanted to get some clarification from someone who knows more than I do.
So let me know your thoughts!<|repo_name|>lukeplunkett/ai-coder<|file_sep|>/project_data/output/html/project_104/project_104_html_200.html
I was thinking about this recently when reading an article by Scott Adams (the Dilbert guy). He said something along the lines of "the world is run by nerds" and that's true to some extent - there are plenty of nerds in positions of power in tech companies and elsewhere - but there's also plenty of dumbasses running things too.
I think this is probably true for most fields - there are plenty of idiots running things but there are also plenty of smart people too.
I've worked at two different places where there were both smart and dumb people running things - one where most everyone was pretty smart and one where most everyone was pretty dumb - and both places had their own problems.
In both cases it was easy to spot which ones were smarter than others because they tended to make better decisions and solve problems more efficiently than others did.
I'm not saying everyone should be smart - far from it! But I think having some smart people around helps keep things moving along smoothly rather than getting bogged down in stupid decisions made by idiots who don't understand what they're doing.
This reminds me of something else I read recently - an article about how Google's founders Larry Page & Sergey Brin were able to build such a successful company because they were both geniuses who could see farther ahead than anyone else did at the time (which is why they came up with PageRank before anyone else did).
If we want our society/culture/etcetera to improve over time then we need more smart people running things instead of dumbasses making bad decisions based on ignorance/prior experience/etcetera so maybe we should encourage more smart people into positions where they can make good decisions rather than letting dumbasses keep making bad ones?
If anyone has any thoughts on this topic please share them!<|repo_name|>lukeplunkett/ai-coder<|file_sep|>/project_data/output/markdown/project_14/project_14_md_50.md
I'm not sure why he's still working for DC Comics either but whatever he's doing he's doing it well because he's one helluva writer! And his art is pretty damn good too! So props to him for keeping it real and not selling out like so many others!
I've been reading his stuff since back when he was writing for Marvel Comics way back in the day (like when he wrote Daredevil) and he's always been one helluva writer! So props to him for sticking around DC Comics after all
